Rainbow Six: Siege a Ubisoft Product. It seems that Ubisoft is trying to put there upcoming game Rainbow Six: Siege in eSports giving a tough competitive push to CS:GO. For now CS:GO is the most popular team-based competitive scene in eSports.
Gameplay
Both Game Rainbow Six:Siege and Counter Strike : Global Offensive features a five vs five team based gameplay. Rainbow Six:Siege is still not released but a short gameplay at E3 and Ubisoft comments shows that both game offer same game modes like hostage rescue scenarios in which the Terrorist holds the hostage the other team must free the hostage. Rounds are won when the hostages get rescued or an entire team is dead. In order to complete their objective players have to communicate and work together, the best part of CS:GO which make it more interesting.
Death or Alive
In CS:GO when you die the death is permanent, you will respawn in the next round, Rainbow Six:Siege almost follow the same rule but you can revive your team in some situations.
Game Rounds & Strategy
Generally in CS:GO the game runs for 90 minutes or less than 90 minutes, Rainbow Six:Siege runs with 3 minutes per round similar to CS:GO. Shorter rounds makes the game more interesting. On an average 1 match of CS:GO runs for 40 minutes. We still don't know how rounds matches will go in R6.
CS:GO have preparation time or buy time before the actual round, players purchase weapons and kits. Rainbow Six:Siege give a preparation time for strategies unlikely in R6 players can't choose multiple weapons each class have some specific weapons. CS:GO offer grenades, molotov, decoy and flashbang which make more realistic. Rainbow Six:Siege adds barricades and traps.
Graphics & Requirements
R6 give realistic feeling than CS:GO, but CS:GO can be played on low end pc.
The Predicted Minimum Requirements are
- Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz / Phenom II X4 940
- GeForce GTX 670 / Radeon R9 280X
I hope R6 will offer good game optimisation for low end pc's.
My Opinion
After viewing lots of gameplays of R6 I think it's little slow than CS:GO. Both game is based on small maps and R6 offer's Terrorist Hunt Mode something which is little similar to CS:GO bomb plant scenario. Here price also matters Rainbow Six:Siege is for $59.99 on steam which is much expensive than $14.99 game. Valve is well-known for running games for a long time but I can't say Ubisoft does the same, they frequently release game sequences which force players to shift, unlikely all can't shift. Millions of players have CS:GO right now this make it more fast to find matches. Still R6 is unreleased but I'm one step close to CS:GO
